Inner Harmony Meditation Retreat
Saturday May 26th, 10am-4pm
This one-day meditation retreat at Hamilton House is equally for beginners and experienced meditators. Using a secular presentation of meditations from the Buddhist tradition, it will suit anyone regardless of belief.
Based on the six elements of earth, water, fire, air, space and consciousness, the meditations will help participants to balance their personal elements to achieve inner harmony. Moreover, by connecting to the same six elements in the environment, an experience of harmony with the universe may be developed. Harmonising our inner and outer worlds helps us in our physical and mental health, benefiting our relationships and daily lives. The day begins at 10.00 and ends at 4.00, and will take place in Room 501 at Hamilton House. The fee of £15 includes a delicious vegetarian lunch and refreshments morning and afternoon. Concessions may be available on request. Please bring your own cushion, and wear loose clothing suitable for meditation.
The retreat is organised by Universal Education for Wisdom and Compassion Bristol.
Booking is essential – contact Lioba Fezer on wellbeingadmin@coexistuk.org or call 0117 395 9259.

Vedic Art workshop: Paint from the unknown
16-17 of June, 10am - 4pm both days
Vedic Art is a step-by-step process that guides you towards painting from a place beyond intellectual thinking and construction. This method invites you to experience the flow of your creativity, leaving behind the need for technical perfection and the pressure to achieve. Images arise as we go through the principles of Vedic Art that address aspects of both art and life simultaneously. This approach to creative painting is an invitation for you to explore and experience the joy, wisdom and powerful potential that lies beyond notions of right and wrong, and in this way access your very own personal language of creativity.
No previous painting experience needed. Both those with no experience of Vedic Art and those with some experience are warmly welcomed.
PRICE: £70 without material, £100 with material for both days
TO BOOK: call Ania on 0752 790 35 78, or email a.witwitzka@gmail.com

Meditation Group
Every Tuesday lunchtime, 1pm-2pm
You can learn to meditate effectively at this session held at Wellbeing, Hamilton House. Beginning at 1.00 pm, each session includes two meditations lasting approximately 20 minutes each. The first meditation is on the breath, and the second is different each week. The group is aimed at complete beginners and experienced meditators equally. The meditations taught at the group do not lead you away from basic reality but towards it. Grounded in common experience and reason, when practised regularly, they can help you to develop a calm, focused clear mind that enables you to improve your life, relationships and activities. Meditations are led free of charge, by experienced buddhist meditators, who select the meditations for their universal applicability.
